Great location, beautiful views of the coastline. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, providing helpful advice on local attractions. The accommodation was comfortable with a lovely veranda to relax on. The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade products. Easy access to outdoor activities.

Difficult to find, had to rely on Google maps. The road to the hotel from the village was narrow and tricky to navigate.

I had always wanted to visit Playa de Alkolea and chose Arriola Txiki Guest House due to its convenient location near the beach. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent amenities offered, such as the complimentary wireless Internet access which allowed me to stay connected and the option to prepare my own meals in one of the two dining rooms with a cozy fireplace.

The only drawback was the noise from the busy road below the property. Although it was not audible from the rooms, it could be heard when sitting in the yard at the overlook.

The decoration in the hotel's common areas was charming and cozy, giving it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The comfortable seating areas scattered throughout the hotel made it easy for senior people like myself to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, the hotel's accessibility was excellent, with ramps and well-lit hallways making it easy for me to navigate, even with my mobility limitations.

I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff in terms of organizing activities or outings specifically catered towards senior people. While the children working there were kind and helpful, they could have been more proactive in offering suggestions or arranging transportation for us.

I had a fantastic stay at Arriola Txiki in Itziar. The owners were incredibly kind and even picked me up on the camino, saving me kilometers. The view of the sea from the property was absolutely gorgeous and the garden was lovely. The room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was delicious with homemade apple juice and cake. I also loved the authentic feel of the building and the warm hospitality of the hosts. It was a beautiful address on the camino, just a short walk to Deba in the morning.

We had an amazing stay at this countryside hotel just outside the city. The warm and welcoming hosts made us feel truly honored to be their guests. The beautiful old farmhouse provided stunning views of the area, and the family farm offered delicious local jam and wine. The breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the city and coast was absolutely delightful. The staff went above and beyond, providing excellent service and even offering laundry facilities at no charge. The peaceful location and scenic views made for a truly relaxing experience.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Arriola Txiki Guest House exceeded all expectations. From the warm welcome by Lourda and Ignacio, to the breathtaking ocean views, everything about our stay was fabulous. Despite the language barrier, we felt at home and communication was not an issue. Lourda even offered us complimentary laundry facilities, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. the homemade breakfast, with delicious preserves and cakes, was a delightful touch. the peaceful and rustic setting, along with the variety of sitting areas to enjoy the scenery, made for a truly relaxing stay. the hospitality of the hosts and the overall experience were top-notch.

Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes 😄.

As bike riders, we loved the convenience of having a separate kitchenette in our beautiful cottage-style room. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook dinner after a long day of hiking.

It felt like royalty, no complaint.

loved our relaxing stay here! after a tiring camino walk, we were warmly welcomed with refreshments by Lourda. the spacious rooms and amazing views made it a memorable experience. breakfast and home-cooked dinner were superb. can't wait to come back next year for a longer stay!

misleading directions to the town center

Enchanting grounds, impressive views, fabulous restaurant nearby. Gracious hosts, clean rooms, authentic building. Delicious homemade breakfast. Convenient location for the Camino.

Arriola Txiki was great value for money and the room was clean and comfortable. The location on top of a hill provided a stunning view of the sea, and the staff treated me with kindness and warmth throughout my stay.

The breakfast offerings could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

What a gem of a place! This beautiful and cozy guesthouse is perfectly nested, very accessible by walking from nearby Itziar or Deba, and well connected to nearby public bus or train transportation. The gardens are lovely, and the hostess, Mrs. Lourdes, could not be more helpful. A fire is lit for drying walkers' boots and the homemade dinner is delicious. Thank you so much Lourdes, we loved our stay at Arriola Txiki and will definitely return!
